Bernie
& Diane Weston Bernie and Diane Weston have been involved in the gymnastics business for 35 years - 7 in Colorado and 28 in the North County. But more than the business, it's the gymnasts and their families that make Bernie and Diane want to return to the sport that has become a way of life for them. With a B.A. and M.A. in Physical Education, Bernie also taught in the Elementary School in Boulder, Colorado. In 1982, Bernie and Diane (she handling the customer service / business end) opened Escondido Gymnastics World, later changing the name to California Gold Gymnastics. Bernie has coached many Sectional and State Champions, in individual events and in the all-around. The Westons owned the gym until 1998. They sold the business to the Palomar YMCA and remained as employees through 2006. Now, 27 years after pioneering the sport of gymnastics in Escondido, the Westons are excited to run "Pacific Coast Gymnastics, Inc." in San Marcos. It's a great central location to serve all of North County.
We feel we still have a lot to offer with our experience and we missed the total environment of the sport. Our philosophy is to see each gymnast reach their fullest potential in a family oriented atmosphere.
All of our coaches have an extensive background in the sport
of gymnastics, from having competed themselves, to having many years of coaching
experience, or a combination of both. They are very safety oriented and
genuinely love children.
